The much anticipated time has arrived for The Landing Course to re-open with the new Champion Ultra Dwarf greens! The Advisory Board of Governors is pleased to join with the Staff and Management of River Landing to announce Friday, August 19th as the date. We would like to share the schedule of the re-opening with regards to both courses:
Course Schedule and Procedures:
August 19, 20, 21
• The River Course is open - 7:30am single tee start off #1
• The Landing Course is open - 7:30am single tee start off #1
August 22 & 23
• The River Course is closed
• The Landing Course is open - 7:30am single tee start off #1
August 24 - August 31
• The River Course is open - 7:30am single tee start off #1
• The Landing Course is open - 7:30am single tee start off #1
• The River Course will be closed on Monday, August 29
• The Landing Course will be closed on Tuesday, August 30

After four weeks into the transition from bent grass greens to the new Champion Bermuda Greens there have been a few obstacles to overcome. Five days of overcast weather coupled with a few severe thunderstorms were a concern. With the recent heat wave we appear to be back on schedule with the anticipated opening date being the 19th of August. The last three weeks will be critical in regards to aerification and lowering the mowing height to putting green specs at 1/8 of an inch. Please keep your eye out for an email confirming the opening date within the next two weeks dependent on weather conditions.
